Romina Del Castillo
Romina Del Castillo spent the first half of her life alternating between lives in Santiago de Chile, and Lima, Peru where she was conceived. she was accredited as an artist and citizen in the United States of America. she is a she. she constructs three dimensional humanoid figures using charcoals on two dimensional paper. the paper is thick, textured and the size of a flat screen TV on the showroom floor at Best Buy. sometimes she adds color with colored chalks, pastels and other mixed media. she portrays people. some people call these portrayals, portraits … while others may see them as narratives. nevertheless, they are undoubtedly windows into the multiplicity of realities from which each viewer can perceive and thereby conclude, as fact, their own reality through the interpretation of her art. don’t ask how to interpret her art… you only need to ask yourself. Romina lives and works in Long Beach, CA.
