This piece was made in July 2020 for a show consisting of 50 artist making 50 paintings in 50 days. I was responding to the ever changing atmosphere that is the LGBTQ+ bar and nightclub community as it has been effected by Covid-19.

Stevan Dupus is a LGBTQ+ artist and educator working in Southern California. His work documents the social interactions within San Diegos's LGBTQ+ nightlife communities. New works are an attempt to document the contradictions now occurring within the idea of safety as a bar space as it evolves to the ever present danger of Covid-19.
