Ciana Anita Kalokomaika’imaikalanimai Lee is based out of Long Beach California, where she expresses as an educator, visual artist, performer, and events coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Education from Cal State University Long Beach, and is on her way to completing a Waldorf Teaching Credential. Pursuing an Arts Education degree through CSULB empowered her to become well versed in the many modalities and mediums of artistic process, paired with a sturdy foundation in educational philosophies. She is enthralled by her role as a catalyst, and the opportunity to guide others toward self expression through structured skill development, collaboration, active encouragement and catharsis. As a member and coordinator with FA4 Arts Collective, an association born out of CSULB, she has greatly expanded her artistic endeavors. She is a firm believer in accessible art experience and forming alliances between various individuals, groups and organizations. This drive has led her to facilitate art shows, performances, residencies, and mural installations. As a visual artist she explores the relationships between healing, stories, color and vibration. Through portraiture, fiber arts and sculpture work she delves into the experience of the individual finding places of peace and moments of contemplation. As a performer she pays homage to her Hawaiian and Aztecan lineage through elemental fire ceremony. She is the co-founder of fire performance troupe Primal Element, which brings flow arts workshops to various events and facilitates sacred fire within various spaces. Ciana teaches physical education to first through eighth graders with Maple Village Waldorf Academy, is a mixed media arts instructor with EngAge at the Long Beach Senior Arts Colony, and an active board member with FA4 Arts Collective.
